Too Much Fun For One Day!

These are the stories that I enjoyed reading today.

Michelle Bachmann in 2012…bring it on, how much fun would that be?

Robert Gibbs is out…I’m actually pretty glad about this even though I defended him when he lashed out at the firebaggers. I just don’t think he puts a good face to the president’s agenda. Sorry Robert, love ya man.

Put the filibuster back into the filibuster…but of course the Repugnant party has to make shit up, what else do they have?

And really, if you haven’t subscribed to the Bob and Elvis Podcast, you are just plain stupid….or maybe you don’t have an mp3 player, which is cool if that’s the case. But you can still listen to it. GO!

  1. I like Robert Gibbs but their are things going on that I don’t think he’s capable of handling right now. Of course he should get some part in Obama’s administration. But as speaker … I just don’t think he’s up to the task at present.

  2. I caught the Bob and Elvis show pretty bad ass show but my MP3 player don’t allow shit from I-Tunes. I might just listen via my PSP thou it allows most things.

Michele Bachmann proves one shouldn’t believe their own hype. Outside those tea bag zombies who else does she appeal to? From the moment that ditz open her mouth she gives off the impression she’s either really dumb or just insane.

  3. You can download the mp3 directly from the website…no iTunes bullshit. There is a different link for it. If you haven’t heard the previous ones, you should check them out. Sometimes they go off on tangents about movies that get a bit long, but I love those two guys. I may sponsor a show just so I have more to listen too. :)

  4. Johnny C, enjoyed the posting on your blog about the REICHwing attacks on Pelosi. Loved it that Nancy cited the accomplishments of Congress under her leadership BEFORE giving “Hell NO!” Boner his “ring the bell and getchur prize” mallet that he chose to be his gavel. Weepy Boner now has a BIG hammer! How macho of him.

  5. I kinda enjoy their “Star Wars” rant it had me thinking about scenes from the movies. It’s probably easier for me to hear it and download it for the PSP than on my MP3 player.

Grant dude if there’s one thing right wingers are good at other than lying it’s re-writing history. While the next year is going to blow due to right wing ignorance that’s currently has a grip on the house of representatives it’s going to be fun watching them fall apart.

  6. It took an hour-and-a-half for Congress to read the “complete” Constitution out loud today. When the part that states, “No person, except a natural-born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution” is elgible to become president, was read, a woman in the House Gallery yelled out “except Obama, except Obama!”

The Teabaggers are going to be drunk with power now, rewriting the Constitution, cutting out amendments they don’t like.

Not ALL of the Constitution was read like leaving out embarrassing parts like Article 1, Section 2 — which spelled out that when state populations were determined for representation and taxation, a slave was to be counted as three-fifths of a person — as well as the 18th Amendment, which instituted Prohibition. Probably the same wingers upset that a publishing house has change Nigger Jim and Injun Joe in new editions of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer!

Maybe U.S. education has changed but in high school government back in the 50’s, we spent a whole unit studying the Constitution. Maybe we should not defund education if folks don’t learn what’s in it until they are elected to Congress.

  7. I meant to get a post up about the reading of the constitution today, but alas, I didn’t. It’s been covered pretty good by others around the internets. I was going to title it “The Holy Constitution”, if the issue stays around a while, I may get it up yet…so to speak. :)

  8. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) called the “ritualistic reading” on the floor “total nonsense” and “propaganda” intended to claim the document for Republicans. “You read the Torah, you read the Bible, you build a worship service around it,” said Nadler, who argued that the Founders were not “demigods” and that the document’s need for amendments to abolish slavery and other injustices showed it was “highly imperfect.”

“You are not supposed to worship your constitution. You are supposed to govern your government by it,” he said.

Of course the REICH-wing blogs are in full-blown attack mode on the “unAmerican” Nadler. Here is one “intelleckshul” critique!
