Gratuitous Granddaughter Photos – My Inspiration
As you may have noticed, I’ve been posting less lately. There are several reasons for this. The first is that I have been doing some research for a piece that is coming soon from a fellow blogger. Another reason is that the new semester has started at the university I work and teach at…so the day job is crazy right now. That will settle down in a couple of weeks. I’m also in “development” on 3 different documentaries and there has been some movement on the biggest of the three, which means work for me. I also just took on a committee at the university that adds to my already busy schedule, but it’s really cool…coordinating next years summer film, helping pick the script, director (which may be me) and more than likely producing it as well. I’m also teaching the special effects class that I created this semester…oh, and I may be editing a feature film in the next couple of months. How many hours are there in a day? I forget! All fun and exciting stuff, but not leaving much time for my real love, politics.
So please, keep coming back, I will certainly post when I can and I have several folks who said they will help me out with posts. Extreme Liberal’s Blog isn’t going anywhere and as we get into the campaign, you can bet I’ll have a lot to say. The final reason for my lack of posting can be seen in the following photos — the reason why I’m passionate about the future AND why I fight like hell to help elect Democrats who care a lot more about this little girl than ANY Republican. She really loves her grandpa and the feeling is mutual. :)

It’s A Beautiful Day For Photos!
It’s so perfect here in western Michigan today, 70 degrees, sunny, no humidity and puffy white clouds. So it’s time for some nature photos. Enjoy!
The Debt Ceiling – Someone Wake Me When It’s Over!
How many times are they going to say the same thing over and over on the Republican manufactured crisis and game of chicken they are playing with our economy? I’m tuned out, here are some photos from my iPhone from the last few weeks. Happy Sunday, enjoy the summer while it is still here, I’ve gotten notices of fall semester faculty meetings already. Ugh!
This first one is a panoramic photo of the sky on Thursday night. It is made up of 6 different shots on my phone. Click on it for a larger version.
This next shot is through the screen of a window at a Panavision 35mm film camera, ahhhhhh, real film.
This one is my granddaughter floating in a pool.
Here is another nice sky from last week.
It’s pretty cool working on a college campus, you see things like this on professors doors.

Need A Break From Politics?
I have been sick to my stomach for the last week over all the crap going on in our political world. I’m serious. It is depressing the hell out of me seeing this “Lord of the Flies” bullshit happening in Washington. I’ve attempted to write about it, but gave up. Here are some lovely photos to heal the wounds. Enjoy!

Why It All Matters To Me
My awesome granddaughter stopped by to see her grandpa (and grandma) on Sunday. She was deliriously tired, acting all kinds of silly. I snapped this photo. People wonder why I get passionate about politics and care so much about making progress and advancing this country, well here is your answer. I have several new posts coming, check back later today.

Sunday Photos For Your Enjoyment
I’m busy trying to get some work done today, so I give you some lovely photos I took about a month ago. Enjoy your Sunday, spread some liberal joy around, be nice to people…smile.
Saturday Morning Stalling – Smart Granddaughter Photos
I’m working on a piece that I think is pretty good, but I’m feeling pressure to help out around the homestead, so I’ll get it up later when the warden gives me a few minutes. But until then, please enjoy one of the latest pictures of my brilliant granddaughter, who, when pulling into our driveway the other day, said “Bumpa”. Which is me, you know? For a 14 month old to be able to associate a place with a person like that seems pretty amazing to me. I guess she isn’t saying “Momma” or “Grandma” much these days, mostly just “Bumpa”. I think she misses me. :)
I’m calling this The Phone Series.
