I haven’t dropped off the face of the planet, although it may look like that if you’ve been stopping by. I’ve been very focused on several corporate video projects including a new one with a short deadline that is approaching. I’m nearing completion of the projects and look forward to getting back into the swing of this blogging thing. And of course, I was also getting stuff ready for my accountant for tax time.
Here is a photo of my granddaughter who is pulling my leg, so to speak. She’s growing fast and is very smart, funny and the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

All of these photos were taken with my iPhone, which is incredibly handy when you don’t have a real camera in your hands.

I’ll be traveling across Michigan to a conference Monday and Tuesday. I’m looking forward to seeing the amazing colors that are coming on strong. I’ll be taking pictures as we go, so look for those next week and beyond. I do have some friends posting for me while I’m away, so come on by and check them out.
I took the picture below while I was killing time waiting on a pizza Friday night.

I took these photos a couple of years ago. It was a very good year for fall color. I was out taking photos and on my way from one location to another when I came across this field with a beautiful spread of trees. I parked alongside the road and got out and as I did, these two horses came galloping from off in the distance towards me. I started shooting photos. They ran right up to the fence and I started talking to them as if they were models, seriously — and they were responding to me. It was a surreal experience. They struck many poses. Here are a few of the better ones.

As you may have noticed, I’ve been posting less lately. There are several reasons for this. The first is that I have been doing some research for a piece that is coming soon from a fellow blogger. Another reason is that the new semester has started at the university I work and teach at…so the day job is crazy right now. That will settle down in a couple of weeks. I’m also in “development” on 3 different documentaries and there has been some movement on the biggest of the three, which means work for me. I also just took on a committee at the university that adds to my already busy schedule, but it’s really cool…coordinating next years summer film, helping pick the script, director (which may be me) and more than likely producing it as well. I’m also teaching the special effects class that I created this semester…oh, and I may be editing a feature film in the next couple of months. How many hours are there in a day? I forget! All fun and exciting stuff, but not leaving much time for my real love, politics.
So please, keep coming back, I will certainly post when I can and I have several folks who said they will help me out with posts. Extreme Liberal’s Blog isn’t going anywhere and as we get into the campaign, you can bet I’ll have a lot to say. The final reason for my lack of posting can be seen in the following photos — the reason why I’m passionate about the future AND why I fight like hell to help elect Democrats who care a lot more about this little girl than ANY Republican. She really loves her grandpa and the feeling is mutual. :)
