It’s hard to believe that these cartoons were made in the 50′s, it shows how animators are way ahead of their time. My favorite part, Daffy Duck saying “Walla Walla Washington”…they really don’t make cartoons like they used to, for the most part. There are some great ones being made today, but when you look back at what they were doing in the 50′s and 60′s it’s really amazing. Enjoy your weekend and thank a union. I’m in home improvement mode this weekend…finishing my basement, there are walls to be built, electric to be run, outlets, light fixtures…fun stuff.

Saturday Morning Toons

One of the most successful graduates of the film program I work and teach in is Greg Colton, a director of the show “Family Guy”. He is a good friend of a good friend of mine and is a really cool guy. He won an Emmy Award this year for Best Individual Achievement in Storyboarding for the following section of the Multiverse episode. This is in the style of a Disney animation and is incredible. This Youtube clip is compressed kind of funky, but you still get the incredible talent of Greg. Enjoy….

We just left the taping of the Daily Show, Will Ferrel was the guest and Jon did a great piece about the 14th amendment. Will walks around the studio so you might see me, white baseball hat and white T-shirt, clapping with my hands in the air. Very cool experience.
