Yet to hear Republicans talk, you know the party of “family values”…the Obamas are the family from hell. While the family of Trayvon Martin attend a rally to lament their son murdered by a gun happy self-appointed vigilante, Rick Santorum holds a rally in a gun range in Louisiana. While Santorum stands in front of target outline of a male form to squeeze off a shot, somebody in the audience shouted, “pretend it’s (the target outline) Obama. Santorum claims he didn’t hear the remark, the reason he didn’t offer a rebuttal.

Of course, Santorum has already criticized the Obamas for allowing Melia to spend Spring Break with her school class doing in Mexico. Santorum is upset that this requires Secret Service to accompany Melia. Of course, Santorum is now using Secret Service “protection” with a SS code name, “Petrus” thinking of himself as St. Peter, possibly.

I have made five trips to Mexico in the past two years in the southern half of that nation and felt completely safe, probably safer than being a black man in Sanford, Florida.
I have gone through 3 pages of Google to try and find a reputable source for the “25 Secret Service” being paid for by all those conservative “taxpayers” and cannot find a source outside of far REICHwing blog sites and sources that have been trumpeting the “disgrace”. Some of the comments have been so ugly like…”This is just too funny because when I saw she was in oaxaca I thought ‘come on earthquake’” and another wrote, “The Obama girls seem uglier every time I see them. Is it the food their mother forces down their throats?” Others decry Melia’s “jetting around”!
A lot of REICH buzz however that the White House had FORCED the media to scrub the story. The Communications Director to the First Lady, confirmed to Politico‘s Dylan Byers that the White House had asked news agencies to remove the story:
The Glenn Beck site, The Blaze is one of many web-sites trying to make this a BIG story. Why were the Bush twins never the recipients of such outrage even though we know they were accompanied by Secret Service on their many nights clubbing around D.C. and the nation?

At least the Obama children get to see their parents almost daily unlike the younger Santorum children, including one nearly at death’s door, who have been deprived their father’s company by his continuous campaigning all over the nation for nearly two years to campaign. Who has “family values?”
Read today that birthers in California plan to sue the state to not place President Obama on the November ballot unless the state can PROVE that President Obama is a legal citizen. With voter suppression laws in so many states, and games being played, the GOP is attempting to defeat President Obama by “hook or crook”.
There are no adults in the Republican Party anymore, not a one. Would you have pictured this 10 years ago, Grant? And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this extremism on the right has gone absolutely nuts after electing our first black president.
I saw this coming over 40 years ago and left the Republican Party in the late 60′s when the “Party of Lincoln” began their recruitment of Southern racists. The GOP has been going downhill ever since and I’ve never looked back at my decision to leave the the party with any regret. The party today has such a faint resemblance to its past glory, a once reasonable party that placed great value on scholarship, ethics and integrity. The current GOP is becoming irrelevant except to the worst of our nation’s ignorant bigots who are are fed constant propaganda and LIES by the likes of REICHwing hate talk radio and Faux News. I blame this downward spiral mostly on corpfascists using REICH media and blogsites to promote an abundance of stories with latent and overt racist spin. Remember, a once most educated society in Germany fell into this same trap where a vocal and mendacious minority pulled one over on the majority leading everyone, including mostly good people down a tragic path. I’ve been concerned since the extreme right ideologues began to take over in the 60′s that the USA is has been heading headlong towards a fascist tyrannical state.
Today is the second anniversary of the Affordable Healthcare Act (mislabeled “Obamacare” by REICHwingers since it was an act of Congress). And most of the act won’t even become law until 2014 yet already being sued before it is fully effective. Ten Reasons we should be celebrating:
