President Obama REJECTS The Republican Plan To Screw Everyone!

From TPM…

The White House rejected Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) “Path to Prosperity” budget blueprint for fiscal 2012 Tuesday, arguing that it unfairly guarantees the prosperity of wealthy millionaires while overburdening seniors and the poor.

[...]

“The President believes that dramatically reducing America’s long-term deficit is essential to growing our economy and winning the future,” Carney said in a statement. “Any plan to reduce our deficit must reflect the American values of fairness and shared sacrifice. Congressman Ryan’s plan fails this test.”

Ryan’s plan cuts taxes for millionaires and special interests, Carney said, while placing a greater burden on seniors who depend on Medicare or live in nursing homes, families struggling with a child who has serious disabilities, workers who have lost their health care coverage, and students and their families who rely on Pell grants.

  1. I am glad that Obama did this and whats more is it shows a stark contrast to the difference between the democrats and the republicans. People better start ignoring the talking heads and vote democrat next year or we’ll be in some serious shit!

  2. Paul “Shemp Howard” Ryan admits he want to slash the throats of average people. And the media treats this douche as some deep thinker and progressives are still complaining about President Obama.

And EL your one of your favorite person Glenn Greenwald was on “The Last Word” tonight discussing Obama and the base in time for the 2012 election. There are liberals that don’t share that cabal of Hamster,Greenwald and Uygur view so isn’t MSNBC trying to interview them?

    • I saw Ole’ Glenn on The Last Word and thought he came off very bad. He wasn’t convincing and really, after it was over, I wasn’t sure exactly what his point was. Not very effective…very satisfying for me.

    • Because those people don’t interest MSNBC, they want people that are strictly anti-Obama.

  3. Guess you didn’t get to the part about simplifying the IRS and eliminate many deductions. The IRS code screws the poor, those under $250K, because they can’t take the deductions the “rich” take. It points out that this is all political posturing about who is to blame and the American public takes the shaft from both parties.
