Huckabee Continues To Lie – Hell Is Just Around The Corner For Him!

The lies just keep rolling with the Reverend Mike Huckabee, he ought to just come right out and admit that he was making shit up, ask for forgiveness and move on. But of course that would mean admitting the truth, which seems to be difficult for him. Media Matters is all over this…

Let’s start with his Obama grew up “in Kenya” comments.

  • In his explanation, Huckabee says that his remarks were a “verbal gaffe” and a “verbal slip.” As Media Matters and many others have pointed out — including conservative George Will in yesterday‘s Washington Post – this explanation doesn’t wash. Not only did he repeat the “in Kenya” remark twice, it served as the basis for his assertion that Obama has a deep-seated dislike of the British dating back to his grandfather’s supposed experience in the Mau Mau Rebellion. As likely intended, Huckabee viewers who hadn’t heard the original comments would have been left with the impression that Huckabee merely slipped up once in the course of a sentence. He didn’t.
  • Huckabee described his comments to Malzberg as, “I said President Obama spent part of his early life in Kenya. I meant to say Indonesia. His father and grandfather were from Kenya. My verbal slip did not go unnoticed.” But that’s not what Huckabee said to Malzberg. Huckabee didn’t merely say that Obama “spent part of his early life in Kenya.” He told Malzberg that Obama  grew up there “with a Kenyan father and grandfather.” While Huckabee attempted to excuse his comments by explaining that Obama’s father and grandfather were from Kenya, he didn’t bother to address the fact that Obama did not grow up “with” either of them. Obama met his father only once, and never met his grandfather.
  • Huckabee seems to have abandoned the defense he pivoted to on both the O’Reilly Factor and a radio program last week, in which he claimed that he clearly spelled out on “page 183″ of his book that Obama grew up in Indonesia. As Media Matters pointed out, this is, quite simply, a lie. Not only did Huckabee not mention Indonesia on page 183, but a Kindle search of his book revealed that he did not mention Indonesia in the entire text. Huckabee did not attempt to address his “page 183″ lie, which was also called out by CNN’s John King.

I didn’t realize that he actually lied about what was in his book too, not only is he a compulsive liar but he’s pretty freakin stupid too. He gave a page number where people could go and see that he was lying. Doh!

  1. I’ve been going on Huffington Post off and on lately and boy you were right about it being just a bunch of Obama bashing. I’ve been thinking of distancing myself from it but the problem lies in where else to go to get my news. They all seem equally bad MSNBC included. I go on the Rachel Maddow show mostly because she seems honest and great in my opinion criticizes Obama at times but doesn’t go overboard with it. At least not anymore.

Anyway I will hold hope that Obama gets re-elected but am left wondering if this country deserves him.

    • Talking Points Memo and Salon are pretty good, if you stay away from Glenn Greenwald. Huffington is about to go all entertainment from what I can tell. Mass audience, I wonder what they will do during the election. Probably try to turn independent.

  2. Republicans should not make gaffs because the heavy leftist MSM will crucify them. Can you imagine the headlines if a Republican said he has visited all 57 states.

I think you mean this country can’t survive another election of king obama. I do agree we don’t deserve another term of Obama.

    • Yea, he just misspoke, huh, Ralph. That was all. The whole Mau Mau stuff was just a bunch of sentences that were all gaffes, right.

And the only fucking gaffe you folks can come up with for Obama is the 57 states slip. Is that it? Is that all you got? Man, that is weak.

      • If one considers Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariannas, plus the nine United States insular areas in the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea: Baker Island, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman Reef, Midway Islands, Navassa Island, Palmyra Atoll, and Wake Island, we actually have MORE than 57 territories where the US dollar, US postage stamps, etc. are honored.

For shame, our President Obama thinking about the many OTHER U.S. regions.

  3. Sorry but both of you are scrambling and those examples were very lame. I would guess even your granddaughter will know that there are no 57 states in a coupla of years. I am not a Huckabee fan but under pressure we all make mistakes even king Obama.

I am in a quandary about 2012 because I haven’t seen a conservative who can beat the king step up. Trump makes sense but is not electable, Christie doesn’t want the job and like Jeff said, we don’t deserve another term of Obama. If Walker would fire all of the illegal strikers I would look to him but he hasn’t the stones.

    • That’s it, one gaffe is all you can come up with? Funny, I bet I could find a few if I looked, but you can’t even do that. Funny stuff as usual, Ralph.

  4. Huckabee’s INTENTIONAL LIE was to feed the hate of the “birthers”, not a gaffe at all. Obama’s statment wasn’t meant to HURT anyone as was the LIES of the “good Christian” Huckabee. The Democratic Party also holds PRIMARY elections in D.C. and in the U.S. territories, even seats them at the party convention, even though deprived of statehood, they don’t get a seat in Congress.
