It took Reagan 28 MONTHS to get unemployment rate back down below 8 percent.

During the Reagan years, unemployment was anyone who was unemployed. Now you are no longer unemployed if you drop off the unemployment rolls. It is far worse today than what the numbers say. Reagan inherited the disaster known as the Carter legacy, 21% interest rates, collapse of the steel industry, no housing market.
It did take Reagan time to bring the unemployment under 8% but that may be something Obama never sees except in the first months of his reign. He took over an unemployment of 7.6% where Reagan inherited 10.2%.
Reagan inherited a 7.5% rate, not 10.2.
All this teaches me is that Obama is no better than reagan. One international terrorist for another, new boss same as the old boss, etc
Kind of weird how people learn different things from numbers.
